It’s Birthday Time Again!

It is weird how all of a sudden birthdays creep up on you. Worst yet when you have kids, they seem to turn five before they turn two. It as if father time just speeds things up when you have kids and all of a sudden your beautiful little likeable girl or boy turns into a terrible teenager. It is as if there is a blimp on a screen and poof they are grown up. All the while you sit there trying to plan out these overly extensive birthday parties, on a budget mind you. Unfortunately we do not have Dunphy (Modern Family reference) money and can bring the party to our own house.
Between the blip of time that is their childhood we always seem to be rushing around to make sure that every big day is the best, even when money is an issue we strive to do something a little special. We do our damndest to make that dollar we made out of ten cents really be two dollars. I know that my parents always seem to go beyond their means to put that smile on my face. I do the same for my children, there is just something to be said about putting a smile on your kids face.
A birthday is sort of like valentine’s day for women, you kids expect greatness and well whether you like it or not you need to deliver. You need to show you kids the best time of their lives, they need to be so overwhelmed with joy and pleasure they think they are the luckiest kids in the world. Now I know this sounds like a mountain we about to climb but step back for a second, remember what it was to be your kids age. Do you remember what it was like? Do you remember with the utmost fondest your imagination skills back then. I remember my parents taking me to places where I could play all the video games I want (I know that was possible twenty years ago). I remember with wild amazement that I could play sweet Atari like games as many times as I wanted. I was in heaven!
Today you kids can have the same, they are probably even more video game oriented than I was back then. Still there is something to be said about a place that has all this at your, or your kid’s, figure tips. Kids, boys, girls, these days love video games and it is a great way to give you child the birthday he or she wants.
